| In early September presidential-hopeful Senator John
Kerry from Massachusetts visited DBCC - Park Avenue to hold a press
conference highlighting the need for continued and increased support of
early childhood education. He brought the children a gift of books and
read My Friend Rabbit to the kindergarten class. The children enjoyed his
visit and the attendant press attention a great deal. The media ignored
the message and asked him about the war in Iraq and his feelings about
